Evaluation of your Continuity Sequence

Mise-en-scene:

the arrangement of the scenery, was not altered in anyway, in fact the reason the scenery in this small video is used is because we did not have to set it up, it was already set up for a cake sale, we just used the area before it was used.

Lighting:

The lighting is all natural, we had the light from the sun coming in via the windows in the roof, this was a downfall because in some shots the light did fade due to clouds blocking out the sun light. I am sure if we had the equipment we would have used some lighting to make it more brighter.

High or low camera angles:

The angles we used were both and a little between. What i mean is that in some parts of the video the camera was bellow us in some frames and then at head height (between) in others, it wasn't until the end that we had a high up camera angle.

Different shot distances:

To start with we had the shots at a distance, this was to show the scene so that the viewer can know what the setting will look like. Later on we had closer shots and angles to show the expressions on the characters faces and what was being handed over to them. It was the closer shots we used to get expressions and build up to the ending of Jack being punched.

The shot differences:

Any camera movement?

yes, in the clip we have camera movement for a pan to show the area, and then also a camera angle in the middle of me running up following my movement, at the very end we have the camera paning out of Jacks now unconscious body.

Fades or dissolves?

In my case i would say we had more of a fade in the editing of the video when we cut to the end it has a almost cut to black then plays the end credits.

The Continuity System?

In my point of view the system was almost thrown out of the window, we had shots all over the place and it did not lead up to continuity with all the different angles and the changing out people in different scenes.

180 degree rule:

I do not believe we had thought of these being in the shot, i have watched but yet can not point out if we did or did not use one.

Establishing shots:

The first establishing shot was well at hte start of the video where we showed off the video of the characters and the surrounding area.

Match cuts on action:

I don't believe we have any of these.

Eyeline match cuts:

only around three of the shots we just managed to get these shots in the rest was in outtakes.

POV shots:

Two POV shots, one of me holding the box and then the next of the fist in the box punching Jack in the face.

    Shot-reverse shot:

Again i can not tell if we did or did not have this type of shot in the video.
